The lineup is Trevor Hutchinson on bass, piper Cillian Vallely, Kevin Crawford on flute, fiddlers Sean Smyth and Colin Farrell, accordionist Alan Kelly and guitarist Ed Boyd.

Guest artistes for the evening were Biggar-based accordionist Fin Hope and his trio, comprising of Fin with Tom Gold playing fiddle and Jim Gold on piano.

The renowned accordionist wrote pipe march The Bent Note, and then challenged his fans around the world to post their own version.

For the final concert in the series, Bay Chamber is proud to present New York-based jazz pianist and accordionist, and recipient of awards from ASCAP, Downbeat and the American Jazz Piano Competition, Ben Rosenblum.

Notably, the Finnish symphonic folk-metal band Turisas has always had a full-time accordionist, employing classical and polka -style sensibilities alongside a violinist.

The experimental composer Howard Skempton began his musical career as an accordionist, and has written numerous solo works for it.
