CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Unidentified gunmen on Friday fired on a convoy that wounded Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal Alonto-Adiong Jr. and killed four of his companions.

Vice Gov. Adiong said the family is convinced politics had nothing to do with the ambush.

Adiong himself already knew that VPSD ‘leaves the deliberation’ of the OVP budget proposal in the plenary ‘entirely to the pleasure of the House of Representatives’ as stated in the last paragraph of her letter,” the OVP explained in a statement.

Adiong’s office is clearly indicated at the lower right portion of the letter,” it added.

Adiong said the PDRRMO has stopped its search for the missing and turned over its records to the Department of Interior and Local Government’s Management of the Dead and the Missing department.
