Alandi

The deceased was identified as Mayur Haridar Madake (26), a resident of Markal Road in Alandi.

A team of Jharkhand police, led by Inspector Bakar Hussain of Kathikund police station, along with the local police nabbed Murmu around 9.40 pm while he was at his workplace in Alandi Phata in Chakan of Khed taluka, Pune district.

He recalled that he had staged a massive ‘Jan Andolan’ (people’s protest rally) on August 9, 2006, in Alandi near Pune to protest against proposed amendments to the RTI Act being considered by the Manmohan Singh-led United Progressive Alliance government.
