Skydance Media is said to weigh a bid for Shari Redstone’s National Amusements.

Sumner Redstone used National Amusements, his family’s movie theater chain, to build a vast media empire that included CBS and Viacom, which have merged and separated a number of times over the years.

The park’s name changed several times over the years before finally transforming into the western-themed amusements many came to know and love in 1987.

This new chapter brought new attractions to the pier including the Sun Deck Theatre, the Solarium Cafe, as well as amusements and a Hall of Mirrors.
