The Ark restaurant and cafe at Midsummer Meadows next to Beckets Park, is up for sale with Billing Road based estate agents Archways Real Estate for £500,000.

The Vasari Corridor in Florence, Italy, had “DKS 1860”, a reference to 1860 Munich football club, spray painted on seven of its archways.

Works will include changes to the garden with new timber archways, an external bar, new illuminated signs as well as a new entrance porch.

Further investigation revealed a subterranean network of passages and a chamber covered in approximately 4.6 million seashells, laid out to form a 2,000-square-foot mosaic spanning walls and archways and a domed shaft that lets in a narrow beam of light.

Though surrounded by walls, Vatican City State was not built like a fortress, and the gendarmes’ draft plans list numerous vulnerabilities, including all the gates, archways and walled sections that were easy to climb.

The temporary attraction opens its icicle-adorned archways to the public Saturday.

Just this year, McDonald’s Corporation announced an allocation of $150 million to its global Archways to Opportunity education program.

McDonald’s is leveraging the Where You Want To Be campaign to highlight the new suite of career advising tools available through its signature education program, Archways to Opportunity.

This year’s version of the attraction, built by Utah-based Ice Castles, is smaller and more intimate, featuring numerous archways and caverns to explore.

Within days they had enlisted a mural artist to paint the walls of their dining room to resemble stones, and used mirrors, archways and real lights from stately homes to create an authentic medieval feel.

Mainly an architectural movement, Gothic was characterised by its detailed ornamentation most noticeably the pointed archways and elaborate rib vaulting.

To that end, nearly every building on campus is noticeably Byzantine in style, with sand and pink-colored bricks, large archways and columns being a common theme among many campus buildings.
