Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Babulal Marandi has written a letter to the head of the state, Hemant Soren.

ED had earlier arrested Babulal Katara, Anil Kumar Meena and Bhupendra Saran and also filed prosecution complaint against them on November 9 last year before the Special PMLA court in Jaipur.

Mr. Kumar has earlier served as Jharkhand Congress President but started his political innings with Babulal Marandi’s party Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) which later merged with BJP.

The heavyweight candidates in this phase are Chief Minister Hemant Soren from Berhait, Babulal Marandi from Dhanwar, Sudesh Mahto from Silli and Assembly Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahto (JMM) from Nala.

However, SDM Aditya Jain said, “Babulal was suffering from various diseases like piles, Appendix and other chronic diseases so he was frustrated, so he committed suicide.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has re-alloted government bungalows to three of his predecessors – Uma Bharti, Kailash Chandra Joshi, and Babulal Gaur – all coming from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
