Being blessed by the Madama Butterfly gives Bayonetta access to powerful spells that work in tandem with her superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes.

I was immediately excited by the prospect, especially as Devil May Cry was one of my favourite series and Bayonetta seemed to be a spiritual sequel.

Perhaps significantly, Bayonetta was designed by a woman, Mari Shimazaki (although the game was mostly overseen by male developers).

Since the release of Bayonetta 2 back in 2014, there have been plenty of rumors about the future of the franchise.

If you have already played titles like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta or Nier: Automata, Platinum Games have a very strong history of making some of the best games in history and they are also the people behind the last two titles mentioned above.

We don’t need another Bayonetta situation.

Nintendo has done the same thing with Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 and I think that’s helped to calm fears that they’ve got nothing in the wings.

We just want Bayonetta in the game!
