Controversial social media personality, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky has reportedly lost ‘her’ father, Kunle Okuneye.

In a post shared via his verified Facebook page, Bobrisky claimed that the surgery pain will not deter his happiness.

As investigations proceed, Bobrisky has urged his followers to disregard the rumours, maintaining his innocence.

Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the remaining charges, and on Friday, April 12, 2024, Justice Abimbola Awogboro sentenced him to six months in prison without the option of a fine for abusing the naira.

Bobrisky’s arrest by the NIS followed the submission of a report by the panel set up to investigate the allegations of corruption against the Nigeria Correctional Service over his detention.

Bobrisky’s legal team demanded that VeryDarkMan deletes the audio clip immediately, issue a public apology in two national newspapers, and record a video apology to be shared across all social media platforms.

Bobrisky was arrested this morning at Seme border post on his way to escape to Benin Republic.

Bobrisky was convicted on April 5, 2024, by the Federal High Court in Lagos and sentenced to six months in prison for abuse of the naira.

Bobrisky, who was arrested by the EFCC on Wednesday, is facing a six-count charge of naira abuse and alleged money laundering.

He also questioned the authorities involved for allowing Bobrisky to get on the London-bound aeroplane before humiliating him.

Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, a popular crossdresser, has disputed a bribery claim made against him by a social media influencer, Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan.

In another post, he wrote: “Now Falz has served VDM papers and claims to have evidence that bobrisky first reached out to them.

I wasn’t surprised when the cross dresser, Bobrisky, was hauled before the court on charges of abuse of the Naira and money laundering.

Like it or not, naming Bobrisky as the best-dressed female might have been a joke, but many didn't find it funny.

Many netizens compared the situation to Bobrisky’s case whereby the crossdresser was sentenced to six-months in jail without the option of fine.
