Bodejo, in the motion dated and filed on Dec. 19, had prayed the court to order his release from the detention of DSS pending the hearing and determination of the substantive application.

Bodejo said he met with the CP, who was in support of the governor’s directive, but the DSS director advised him to apply wisdom.

Bodejo said on the day of the unveiling, the governor, his SSG, and other officials were absent.

But Bodejo’s lawyer, Mohammed Sheriff, told the court several efforts made to have his client release to them pending his arraignment.

In a counter affidavit that was deposed to by one Noma Wando, a litigation clerk in the Department of Public Prosecutions, Federal Ministry of Justice, FG, urged the trial court to dismiss Bodejo’s bail application.

Lead counsel Ahmed Raji requested the court discharge Bodejo under the cited legal provisions.

Bodejo warned that Nobody should try and remove Buhari, adding that the eyes of the Fulani all over the country have ‘opened’.
