Bowser's love for Peach has been an element in several Mario games over the years, and Bowser Jr. even mistakenly believed Peach to be his mother in Super Mario Sunshine.

After Bowser defeats the Dark Bowser and saves the world, he learns that the Mario Bros. were within him the entire time also combating Dark Star and Dark Fawful.

Some of Bowser's allies seem to be on board with helping as well, including Bowser Jr. and Kamek.

With Bowser’s life flagging, the Mario bros. work to save him and in doing so, help Bowser to become a giant.

Add water to the seven-inch Bowser figure’s reservoir on the back of his hair, and watch as ’fire’ – illuminated atomised vapour – shoots from his mouth.

Black gladly signed up for the role of Bowser and has been hamming it up ever since.
