Bruisers

Unlike the previous three backs who are all 220+ pound bruisers, Badie is a smaller but more explosive player with great speed.

For a while, during the slugfest between Johnny Fisher and Dave Allen, it was akin to hanging around a pretty cold carpark at the back of a McDonalds watching two small town bruisers having a roundhouse swinging dust-up.

Fredrik Olofsson, Chris Wagner and Joel Kiviranta have all been solid players and good soldiers, but the Avs just added two bruisers and have another guy (Nikolai Kovalenko) on the horizon who definitely embraces the physical chaos.

Although snook are catch-and-release again, it is still fun to target these back-country bruisers.

Leaders at Friday’s Facebook gathering included those from Blind Veterans UK, which supports blind veterans and their families; Donna Mamma, a support group for French mothers; and Berlin Bruisers, which is Germany’s first gay-inclusive rugby club.
