Burghölzli

In 1900, the 25-year-old Jung joined the prestigious Burghölzli Mental Clinic in Zürich.

Burghölzli was a renowned psychiatric clinic in Zurich and Jung's research had already gained him international recognition.

By 1903, Jung had completed his degree, and was a professor in Vienna, working as a doctor under the psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler in Burghölzli.

Prior to the completion of her studies, Spielrein had been a patient of Jung at the Burghölzli and the clinical and personal details of their relationship became the subject of an extensive correspondence between Freud and Jung.
