The Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor is calling for entries for its annual Erie Canalway Photo Contest.

The Canalway Cavalcade is back in town.

The Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor and the New York State Canal Corporation have launched a new educational initiative, the Erie Canal Learning Hub.

Entries must be postmarked by Aug. 28. Winning photos will be featured in the 2021 Erie Canalway calendar.

These vessels convey the sense of New York State pride, stewardship, and heritage that are integral to a thriving, living waterway,” said Bob Radliff, Executive Director of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor.

The village of Newark recently received a New York State Canalway Grant, which supports projects that further the goals and objectives of the state Canal Recreationway Plan.

Today, the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor covers convert of navigable water from Lake Champlain to the Capital Region and west to Buffalo.
