WATERTOWN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – On Friday, authorities in Codington County arrested a man from Watertown as part of an ongoing rape investigation.

The Watertown Police Department continues investigating the incident and extends gratitude to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, the Codington County Sheriff’s Office, and Watertown Fire Rescue for their assistance in resolving the situation.

They explained that the new position would serve Codington County and the broader Northeast region, making Watertown a central and strategic location for the role.

Codington County has eight active cases.
