Compoundable

All offences under the Bill will be cognisable, non-bailable, and non-compoundable.

The Rajasthan Assembly on Monday passed Bills against mob lynching and honour killing, which make the, cognisable, non–bailable and non-compoundable offences with life imprisonment and fine up to Rs 5 lakh.

It stated that the crime the two committed should be non-compoundable and there was no basis to alter the HC’s ruling.

The High court altered the judgment and sentenced them to three years non-compoundable imprisonment.
