Monk falls for the lawyer-next-door, Coraline ().

Thinking she escaped the other world, Coraline sees her mother at the end of the tunnel between the two worlds; unaware that this was the Other Mother, she runs to embrace her.

Since then she’s appeared in everything from childhood classics like Uptown Girls and Coraline, to teen franchises like the Twilight Saga, through to gritty dramas like Man On Fire and War Of The Worlds.

The most disturbing fan theory to arise from is the speculation that the Beldam might have won, leaving Coraline trapped in the Other World.

Although hesitant at first, Coraline falls in love with her little escape land.

Coraline’s parents are still alive, but she encounters another version of her parents, ones that treat her well until she refuses to be mutilated by them.

The first all stop motion 3D feature is Coraline (2009), based on Neil Gaiman 's best-selling novel and directed by Henry Selick.
