A homestead man is under arrest on charges of threatening to kill Congressman Carlos Curbelo.

And two House Republicans from Florida, Rep. Carlos Curbelo and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, have called for Pruitt to be fired or to resign.

Curbelo noted that a majority of Republicans supported a plan that would offer undocumented young immigrants, known as Dreamers, a pathway to citizenship, suggesting that such a provision could be a part of future bipartisan negotiations.

Curbelo said the comments were addressed “very briefly” in the later meeting with Republicans.

Curbelo toured the facility with Democrat State Senators Jose Javier Rodriguez and Annette Taddeo.

Curbelo was defeated in the election Tuesday.

Its Cook PVI is D+6, and it re-elected Curbelo in 2016 despite being carried by Hillary Clinton by a margin of 16 points, which made it a prime pickup opportunity for Democrats.

Last week, GOP Rep. Carlos Curbelo of Florida introduced a discharge petition that, if successful, would trigger votes on four competing immigration measures that run the ideological spectrum from bipartisan to hard-line immigration proposals.
