Dairymen

I trace my roots back to 1998, when I was formed via the merging of four dairy cooperatives: Mid-America Dairymen, Milk Marketing, Western Dairymen Cooperative and the Southern region of Associated Milk Producers.

A few more days of higher heat than usual persisted in 2019, but producers of the typical broad range of crops and dairymen and their cows weathered the summer well.

He also proudly served on the board of director’s for Midwest Dairymen for 18 years, Mt. Pleasant township board and was the Midwest representative for Lakeshore Federated Dairy Co-op.

It’s understandable that some dairymen want the opportunity to vote as individuals, but this is the cooperatives’ petition.

The ball is now in the court of California dairymen, who will decide whether they want the Federal Milk Marketing Order to set their prices, or if they’ll stick with a state system they so dislike.

While most farmers at that time were dairymen besides growing crops, John and Shirley went into the egg business.

They approached local dairies offering to perform butterfat samplings at cheap prices but dairymen were wary of trusting two boys with the task, and the business ended in failure.
