DairyNZ senior scientist Dawn Dalley is hoping the Southern Dairy Hub’s field day on October 8 will ideally include a farm tour but she is not optimistic the weather will be dry enough.

Candidate nominations are open until September 5. Voting opens for dairy farmer levy payers on September 23 and election results will be announced at the DairyNZ Annual General Meeting on October 22.

The Netherlands-headquartered multinational behind it, DSM, has carried out small highly-controlled experiments with 3-NOP in New Zealand's pasture-based farms, and DairyNZ was now planning farm-scale tests.
