An Albanian jailed for running a brothel allegedly frequented by rugby star Lawrence Dallaglio has escaped deportation after a judge described him as 'clever and industrious'.

During his sentencing, Dallaglio was fined £660 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for six months as well as having his driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

Lawrence Dallaglio and Teddy Sheringham will make a guest appearance at Aspers Casino in Northampton in October, taking part in a meet and greet organised by a Rushden-based promoter.

The so-called payments 'by Mr Dallaglio' were referred to by the judge in his summing up.
