One month after the episode Boko Haram released more than 100 of the schoolgirls it abducted, returning them to their parents in Dapchi.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has criticized a proposed strategy by President Muhammadu Buhari to release the abducted 110 Dapchi girls from Boko Haram insurgents.

He, however, related this to the abduction of the Dapchi girls in Yobe in February, stressing that the return of the students needed to be queried.

He informed the president that the military had restored personnel to Dapchi town, while security personnel have been deployed in all schools in the state.

He said Mohammed also said the ministry had done a lot in the proactive role in the release of the abducted Dapchi girls and the openness of the release operation.
