Determiners

Determiners main Linguists today distinguish determiners from adjectives, considering them to be two separate parts of speech (or lexical categories ), but formerly determiners were considered to be adjectives in some of their uses.

Determiners main English determiners constitute a relatively small class of words.

Determiners The closed class of Norwegian determiners are declined in gender and number in agreement with their argument.

Determiners (e.g. words such as "a", "the", "this") are also marked for case in Romanian.

Determiners generally do this by indicating definiteness (as in a vs. the), quantity (as in one vs. some vs. many), or another such property.

In English, articles are frequently considered a part of a broader speech category called determiners, which combines articles and demonstratives (such as "this" and "that").

In most modern Romance languages, in fact, case is no longer marked at all on nouns, adjectives and determiners, and most forms are derived from the Latin accusative case.

It can't be modified by a numeral, occur in singular/plural, or co-occur with quantificational determiners.

Many logograms have an ideographic component (Chinese "radicals", hieroglyphic "determiners").
