Donora

The Washington County commissioners visited the borough that day to present a ceremonial check for $119,000 to help rebuild the AP Delsandro Veterans Memorial, at the intersection of Sixth Street and Meldon Avenue, next to the Donora Post Office.

A few concrete house projects were launched across the US – including what became known as in Donora, south of Pittsburgh – but the dream of cheap, roomy concrete houses never really took off.

We first initiated work on Donora Boulevard in the north-to-south plan, but we ran into some conflicts, so are moving on to our next options.
