Endemics

All endemics have been recorded between convert, but the majority mainly live at shallower depths.

A million years ago, the rat entered Australia from New Guinea and evolved into seven species of Rattus, collectively called the "new endemics".

Among these ecoregions, the Lower Congo Rapids alone has more than 300 fish species, including approximately 80 endemics citation while the southwestern part ( Kasai Basin ) alone has more than 200 fish species, of which about a quarter are endemic.

Bird species include approximately 100 endemics with the greatest variety on the large islands of Halmahera and Seram.

Colombia is characterized by high biodiversity, with the highest rate of species by area unit worldwide and it has the largest number of endemics (species that are not found naturally anywhere else) of any country.

Most (75%) of these endemics are animals, mostly arthropods and mollusks.

Plant endemics are represented by 31 taxons.

Several hydroelectric dams are planned on the river, and these may lead to the extinction of many of the endemics.

There are also about 1883 marine taxa, including 39 endemics.

The Yangtze basin contains a large number of freshwater crab species, including several endemics.

To date, very little is known about these, although more than 200 lichen-forming fungi have been recorded, including 9 endemics, Aptroot, A. "Lichens of St Helena and Ascension Island".

With almost 200 described species, including more than 160 endemics, the center of diversity for aquatic freshwater oligochaetes is Lake Baikal.
