A notable Canadian case before the securities regulators in 2006 involved the poison pill of Falconbridge Ltd. which at the time was the subject of a friendly bid from Inco and a hostile bid from Xstrata plc, which was a 20% shareholder of Falconbridge.

He next worked at Falconbridge before moving on to sell mining equipment in Northern Ontario and Quebec.

Jennings was the founder of SouthernEra Diamonds Inc., served as a consultant to Aber Resources and has held positions with numerous companies including International Corona, BP Minerals (Canada) and Falconbridge.

Blake enjoyed his retirement after working for Falconbridge Limited for over 33 years.
