Fallingwater

At the Fallingwater bookstore, visitors are able to purchase a book titled "Moxie" which is about one of the dachshunds who lived at Fallingwater. citation Liliane raised long haired dachshunds and they travelled from Pittsburgh to Bear Run with her.

The set, designed for adults, will be part of the company’s collection of sets based on architectural feats, including Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and his Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

Wright’s Usonian homes have been eclipsed in the public consciousness by the likes of the Guggenheim Museum and Fallingwater.

Included in their research were field trips to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob in Pennsylvania and the Seth Peterson Cottage in Wisconsin.

In 2000, Fallingwater was named "The Building of the 20th century" in an unscientific "Top-Ten" poll taken by members attending the AIA annual convention in Philadelphia.

The incident inspired the 1977 Nick Lowe song "Marie Prevost". citation * Liliane Kaufmann, wife of Edgar J. Kaufmann who commissioned the home Fallingwater from Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935, was a well known breeder and owner of long-haired dachshunds.

The work has since received numerous revivals, including a June 2013 revival at Fallingwater, in Bull Run, Pennsylvania, by Opera Theater of Pittsburgh.
