Abby Finkenauer and Cindy Axne, Iowa Democrats, have called for federal investigations into the exemptions.

Finkenauer, who represents Iowa's 1st Congressional District, announced the decision on Twitter.

Finkenauer said a lifetime appointment to uphold the constitution on the court requires the “utmost character,” and she believes Kavanaugh’s has come into question.
