From his home in Addis Ababa, Fitsum Dagmawi has heard his countrymen’s fear.

Here in our area, the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington, under the tireless leadership of H.E. Ambassador Fitsum Arega, did a superb job in galvanizing support and orchestrating the lobbying effort.

On Twitter, Fitsum Arega, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s chief of staff, said Abiy was “saddened and utterly shocked” to hear of the killing.
