A dynamic or variable refresh rate (VRR) tunes the picture to be smooth with fast framerates, and there’s a dedicated game mode too when you’re playing on next-gen consoles.

While this fix reduces the likelihood of the game crashing while navigating Customization menus, there is ongoing work to address reports of low framerates in these menus.

For those hardcore gamers like myself who care about framerates, resolution and making your games look better, it is definitely worth it.

It can handle light gaming, but on most titles where refresh rates truly matter, you’ll never hit framerates that can take advantage of it.

It is also highly suggested that a PS5 Pro would not force players to choose between any graphics or performance modes, but simply offer the best visuals at the highest framerates by default.

Low resolution, choppy framerates, and bland presentation meant that exploring the 3D environment with a moveable camera was exciting but tough on the eyes.

Variable framerates (from 4 to 60 frame/s) are available on VariCam camcorders.
