FriendlyNet was first introduced on the Quadra 700 and Quadra 900 computers, and used across much of the Mac line for some time.sfn As with LocalTalk, a number of 3rd party FriendlyNet adaptors quickly appeared.

FriendlyNet equipment was quite expensive and even third party AAUI transceivers were rather expensive.
