After the Salamanca cousin starts sniffing around Fring’s meth superlab operation, Fring sends the German workers home early, halting construction until Lalo can be “dealt with”.

That being said, Lalo was killed in season 6, episode 8. After luring Gus into a trap beneath the laundromat, Lalo was eventually shot and killed by Fring.

The strongest possibility for a return would be a prequel about the rise of Gustavo Fring that could explore his early life in Chile and other intriguing moments that were hinted at during the shows.

According to Giancarlo Esposito, Fring's relationship with Max Arsiniega could be seen as a clue to his bisexuality.

Aside from appearing on the aforementioned show for the past few years, he also finished up his stint as Gus Fring on in 2022.

Schuler was fully aware that Fring was building a drugs empire, and ensured the financial resources were available to make that pipe dream happen.

The other half of the episode involved Mike tracking down and eventually killing Werner Ziegler, the rogue construction worker who ran away from his post building Gus Fring’s underground meth lab to see his wife.
