A former Accountant, Pensions Account, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), Garba Abdullahi Tahir, also known as Tahir Garba, has been convicted and sentenced to 21 years in prison for stealing N26.1 million meant for pensioners.

Others are – Romokere Ibiani, Bayelsa State Command; Mohammed Bunu, Yobe State Command; Garba Musa Yusuf, Kaduna State Command; Garba Ahmed, Zamfara State Command; Hayatu Kaigama Ali, Sokoto State Command and Aliyu Musa, Katsina State Command.

Addressing journalists in Abuja, Garba disclosed that the 14 individuals were currently facing prosecution for providing misleading information and inciting public disturbances.

Buhari, in a condolence message issued by his Media Aide, Malam Garba Shehu, on Monday in Abuja, said that the deceased would be remembered for filling people’s lives with happiness and joy.

Defending his submission, Garba said the reason Tinubu should welcome the duo was that they are real Igbo men who have sterling political careers and structures.

Director-General of the agency, Garba Abari, said this when he appeared on the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Forum in Abuja on Sunday.
