Gaudry’s influence extended far beyond Kaleden, having helped create the South Okanagan Similkameen Fire Chiefs Association.

Gaudry trains six days a week, usually two or three hours a day, which as a full time student can be really exhausting.

Gaudry was flown to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died four days later on May 11, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
