A gunman opened fire into a crowd at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Northern California on Sunday, July 28, killing at least three people and wounding 15 others, according to information released from City of Gilroy at 5:00 a.m. EST.

The Gilroy Police Department on its Twitter account issued a statement saying: “The hearts of Gilroy PD and entire community go out to the victims of today’s shooting at the Garlic Festival.
