Fun fact: the lake is home to water lilies exclusively sourced from Monet’s renowned garden in Giverny, the only location outside of France.

Monet worked en plein airin London, but all of his canvases were finished at his studio in Giverny, France, where they took on new life.

His house and gardens at Giverny are one of the region's major tourist sites, much visited for their beauty and their water lilies, as well as for their importance to Monet's artistic inspiration.

Le Bassin aux Nymphease, also known as Japanese Footbridge over the Water-Lily Pond at Giverny, is part of Monet's famed Water Lilies series.
