Gordianus

At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Gordianus and Aviola (or, less frequently, year 992 Ab urbe condita ).

At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Gordianus and Pompeianus (or, less frequently, year 994 Ab urbe condita ).

Gordianus was tall with a long face and light eyes.

His father, Gordianus, who served as a senator and for a time was the Prefect of the City of Rome, Thornton, pp 163-8 also held the position of Regionarius in the church, though nothing further is known about that position.
