At Gordonstoun, Andrew achieved a royal first.

TWO of Gordonstoun's junior pupils got to live as royals yesterday, as the school held their own mini coronation.

Principal Peter Green said: “Gordonstoun is renowned the world over for its unique approach to education, offering our students challenging opportunities outside the classroom to help others.

The king is the new patron of Gordonstoun, the boarding school in north-east Scotland where he had a famously unpleasant time.

Gordonstoun was the focus of one of the more notable episodes of The Crown’s second season, where you see flashbacks of both Prince Philip and Prince Charles's perceived experience at the school.
