Gummidge

The show, starring Pertwee as Gummidge and Lorraine Chase as Dolly Clothes-Peg, enjoyed a brief revival in 1987 for the New Zealand based Worzel Gummidge Down Under.

My straw hat was so bent out of shape that I looked like Worzel Gummidge, the children were dazed and exhausted, and all Keith's pants had holes in the bum.

Also released was a single of " Yesterday ", featuring a semi-spoken word performance, and " When I'm 64 ", in the guise of Worzel Gummidge.

Not particularly telegenic, he was also nicknamed " Worzel Gummidge " for his rumpled appearance.
