Halters

In the covered arena, throngs of people shuffled past vendors selling T-shirts (“All women are created equal, but only the best ride horses”) and Lilliputian halters made out of strips of ribbon no wider than a toothpick.

They are usually middle aged gals from the midwest lifting up their halters and unrolling a stretch-marked baby chewed window shade titty with a faded rose from days gone by.

Buffalo hair was used to fill saddle pads and was also used in rope and halters.

Halters have no bit.

Halters main A halter (US) or headcollar (UK) (occasionally headstall) consists of a noseband and headstall that buckles around the horse's head and allows the horse to be led or tied.

These halters are not suitable for paddock usage or in loose stalls.
