Brett Hankison, an officer who fired shots but didn't hit anybody during the raid, was found not guilty by a jury of wanton endangerment charges.

Hankison's testimony will continue in federal court on Monday.

Brett Hankison’s plea comes five days after a grand jury indicted him on three counts of wanton endangerment for firing into the home of Taylor’s neighbors.

Hankison is also the subject of multiple sexual assault accusations, which the LMPD is actively investigating.

Hankison’s internal police department file details more than 50 internal reports, including “at least two Public Integrity Unit investigations which included allegations of sexual misconduct,” according to the lawsuit.

Mr. Hankison was fired from the force.

Stewart Matthews, an attorney for Hankison, told CNN on Friday that he hadn’t received copies of the grand jury recordings but hadn’t heard any “surprises” on news reports.

The audio recording of the jury proceedings will be added to Hankison's public court file.

The grand jury was not presented any charges other than the three wanton endangerment charges against Detective Hankison.

The Louisville Metro Police Department fired Mr. Hankison in June.
