Leiper had been consulting with the Hintonburg community, which said it needed more green space.

Hintonburg Place Plaza Project has been completed and the public space is now open!

So I found a space and opened The Hintonburg Public House in 2011.

Streetcar tracks were being laid through the village, which would establish Hintonburg as an easily-accessible hub to both the city and the burgeoning neighbourhoods to the west.

A key event occurred after Jemmy Johnston’s death in 1849 that would solidify the future of the township of Hintonburg.

Now cemented as one of central Ottawa’s most unique neighbourhoods, Hintonburg has a long and colourful history, but one story that has largely been left untold is the story of the Hintons themselves.

This is the first unit to be sold in the “Yard & Station” – a high-end Hintonburg condo building at 12 Stirling Ave.

When you became our member of Parliament in 2006, my near-downtown Hintonburg neighbourhood in Ottawa was experiencing challenges around drug houses and street prostitution.
