The second militant, identified as Mir Zeenat-Ul-Islam of Turkawanghom Shopian, belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) outfit, the official said.

In 2016, Naseer Ahmad Pandit was the first policeman to join Hizbul Mujahideen.

It is the same case in which Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin’s 41-year-old son Shahid Yousuf, was arrested in 2017.
