Hunkuyi

Senator Hunkuyi, who was elected on the platform, but defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said that the endorsement of a sole candidate for the post of Senate President would cause problems.

The lawmaker representing Kaduna North senatorial district in the National Assembly, Suleiman Hunkuyi, has lost his seat.

He said: “The committee is to identify the disagreement and the circumstances that led to the demolition of Hunkuyi’s building and it is to report back to the NWC within a week.

Hunkuyi who recently decamped from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside other Senators on the floor of the Senate, had since fell apart with Governor El-Rufai, a situation which led to his spearheading a faction of the APC in the state.

If Hunkuyi,fails in his challenge of El- Rufai,the options open to him are very limited.

The building then served as the Secretariat of Kaduna State APC faction loyal to Hunkuyi.

The faction which is being led by Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi issued the governor a query for what they termed his ”anti-party and anti-human activities”.
