Interdependency

So I’m in favor of building up alliances and friendly relations with countries, and I also think economic interdependency can be a good thing that reduces the probability of war and conflict.

At the same time, however, several academic and media reports over the last decade illustrate the interdependency of the fishing industry and fossil fuel usage.

Only by strengthening from within can the world’s two largest economies transform their relationship from a destructive codependency into a constructive interdependency.
