Okeya said that the state had been alerted by NIMET to possible flooding in three local government areas in the state, namely: Ado-Ekiti, Ikerre-Ekiti and Irepodun-Ifelodun.

The Osun Government has imposed an indefinite dusk-to-dawn curfew on Ilobu and Ifon Communities both in Orolu and Irepodun Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

Mr Tunji Ajuloopin representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-ero Federal Constituency of Kwara, on Monday recommended rabbit farming for meaningful engagement of unemployed youths.

Falodun, a Professor of Communication Physics, Department of Physics, Federal University of Technology, Akure, (FUTA) gave the advice in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) at Iyin-Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun local government area of Ekiti.

Fayemi, however, expressed his condolence to the late monarch’s family, the people of Iyin-Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government area and the entire citizens of Ekiti.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Consultative Forum in Irepodun Local Government Area (LGA) of Kwara has appealed to the Federal Government to retain the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed as cabinet member.

The Speaker, Mr Adeniran Alagbada, immediately swore-in Mr Posi Omodara (Irepodun/Ifelodun) as the new deputy speaker after the duo of Mr Olarewaju Olayanju and Mrs Cecilia Dada had nominated and seconded his nomination, respectively.

In Omu Aran, all the 27 candidates in Irepodun local government were returned unopposed.

The commissioner-nominees, according to the Governor’s message, are Ademola Banu – Irepodun, Eleja Banu – Ilorin West, Ahmed Edu and Uhman Rifun – Patigi, Amos Justus – Ekiti, Sabi Baba Isiak – Baruteen.

The decampees, majorly from the Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP), were received and presented with their membership cards at the APC campaign flag-off in respect of Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency in the 2019 general elections.

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will flag off its campaign to elect a member to represent Irepodun/Ekiti/Oke-Ero/Isin federal constituency tomorrow, the tenth of November.
