Kennywood

For those of you unsure of what Kennywood is, it’s an amusement park in the Pittsburgh area, filled with roller coasters, carnival games, and delicious, unhealthy food.

Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari achieved remarkable success at the 2024 Golden Ticket Awards held at Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.

To commemorate the Steel City, Astrobotic's lander will carry a Kennywood amusement park token, the winner of a public vote that beat out the Steelers' Terrible Towel waved at football games, dirt from Moon Township's Moon Park, and a Heinz pickle pin.

Kennywood was named one of the 10 best amusement parks nationwide by 10Best/USAToday Readers’ Choice Awards.

Similar to Kennywood, it is a walk-up site and testing is free.

Kennywood’s Holiday Lights include several lighting displays, a petting zoo, a model train exhibit that covers close to 3,000 square feet, live shows, and Thomas Town, a kids-themed area of the park decked out for the holidays.
