Labyrinthitis

It was reported earlier this week that Mr Hopkins was signed off sick as he was battling labyrinthitis, an inner ear infection that affects balance.

Labyrinthitis can be caused by viral infections, bacterial infections, or physical blockage of the inner ear. citation citation Another condition has come to be known as autoimmune inner ear disease (AIED).

Labyrinthitis viral or bacterial infection or inflammation of the inner ear that can cause dizziness, loss of balance, and temporary hearing loss.

The symptoms of labyrinthitis include temporary nausea, disorientation, vertigo, and dizziness.
