In relative terms, the appointment of Latheefa Koya as the new Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief to replace Mohd Shukri Abdull is a development that needs serious attention.

Latheefa has resigned from PKR’s legal bureau as well as the party.

Moving on, Shukri hopes his successor, Latheefa Koya, will follow through on what he has “put in place”.

Latheefa, who heads rights group Lawyers for Liberty (LFL), said the facts of the case were not in dispute.

Sources among the original owners said they have been approached by Latheefa Koya of the legal firm of Daim & Garmany.
