A canter truck claiming to be carrying supplies for an army base camp from Punjab to Manesar was seized with illicit liquor in over 220 crates on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway on Sunday, the Gurgaon police said.

A Pataudi court in Haryana’s Gurugram had on Wednesday sent the cow vigilante and Bajrang Dal activist Monu Manesar to 14-day judicial custody in an ‘attempt to murder’ case.

Bajrang Dal member and cow vigilante Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar was arrested by the Haryana police on Tuesday for uploading “objectionable and inflammatory” posts under a fictitious name on social media.

Based on the family’s complaint, police has registered a kidnapping case against five people from Haryana – Monu Manesar, Lokesh Singhia, Rinku Saini, Anil and Srikant.

But the limited industrial landscape in the belts of Gurugram, Manesar, and Faridabad, “which have reached their saturation points, may have contributed to the decline in investment”, he noted.

Monu Manesar was initially named as the prime accused in the case, but as he remained “absconding”, the investigation against him was kept “pending” when the chargesheet was filed.

Mr. Pandit is a member of the cow protection group led by local Bajrang Dal leader Monu Manesar.

The report, with the names of Khan and 42 others, also mentioned different social media posts, including the one by an accused said that тАЬKhanтАЩs mission was complete as MonuтАЩs (Monu Manesar) team was defeatedтАЭ.
