Matterson was sorely missed for the Eels as they went down to Manly on Saturday night, while the Tigers are desperate to build on their 48-0 victory over the busted-up Broncos.

Canterbury would have been entitled to blow up had the game gone into overtime and they had then lost after Chris Smith was given 10 minutes in the bin for a dubious shot on Tigers workhorse and clear standout Ryan Matterson.
